Hello, i have a question. I am fairly new to knitting and this is basically my first fancy hat that i'm trying to make. My question is, once you start doing the motif, up to round 4 i have 84 stitches on my needle. After round 5, i end up with 83. I have taken the hat apart down to the ribbing and restarted bc i ended up with 82 the first time. So this time i was counting the stitches after every round and carefully knitting as to not drop any stitches. Everything adds up according to the pattern (K2, SSK, K2, YO, rep). Im wondering if you're supposed to have 83 stitches after round 5, or if im doing something wrong again? Thanks in advance! ~Nellie
I think i figured it out. I ended up yarning over before starting the 6th row of knitting all sts, which put me at 84 stitches. I hope im doing this right :)
Great pattern very warm purple hat. I used different wool and slightly smaller needles so is slightly bigger than what is stated in the pattern but turned out wonderfully. Now to knit one for my 18mth old daughter :) thanks for sharing this fabulous pattern.
