Basic Skills Necessary:

  • Knit
  • Purl
  • Decrease
  • Pick up stitches
  • Knit in the round
  • I-cord

Pattern Description:

Who doesn't love color? Since fair-isle and entrelac are my favorite things to knit, I decided to combine the two into one colossal colorfest!

This fabulous bag is a wonderful stash-buster, as it uses small amounts of many different colors. You can use anywhere from 6 colors to 9 colors, depending on your preference. Figure one skein for the main color and make that color the darkest of the project - black, brown, dark purple, etc. The color on the bottom of the stripe and the bottom of the bag will only take around 20 yds or so.

Enjoy this technique and have a smashing new bag for the season!
