Pattern Description:

Power Red Socks, inspired by an article in a news magazine this summer, in which a business woman in her suit and heels is wearing power red socks, I was inspired to come up with these socks. Fun to knit with a vertical lace pattern that works together with plain stockinette stitch to form an upside down V. Great for those sock yarns with a little patternering to them.


28 sts and 36 rows = 4" square
32 sts and 40 rows = 4" square for size small

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

  • small
  • medium - large


  • 1 100g skein sock yarn
  • 1 size 2 40" circular needle
  • or 1 size 1 40" circular needle for size small

Suggested yarn:

350 yards of Fingering weight
