Poppy Socks

Basic Skills Necessary:

  • Knit
  • Purl
  • Decrease (k2tog & ssk)

Pattern Description:

Written for the 2 circular needle technique, the eyelet pattern is reminiscent of a field of poppies. These ankle socks are worked from the toe-up and are finished off with a picot cuff. Both written instructions and a chart are provided for the eyelet pattern.


7.5 sts per inch in stockinette stitch

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

  • To fit a women's medium size foot. Length is adjustable.


  • DK or sport weight yarn - 240 yds
  • 2 - 24" US Size 3 circular needles (or size needed to obtain gauge)
  • Stitch marker(s) - optional

You Will Also Need:

  • Scissors
  • Tapestry needle

240 yards of DK weight
