Cold and winter proof, Pogonip is a chunky, extra soft cowl and hat set featuring an interesting stitch detail.

This project is the perfect instant gratification knit and can be finished quickly even if the snow has already started falling!

Gauge:

Hat:
9.5 stitches and 23 rows = 4 inches in woven stitch pattern (and 9 stitches and 13 rows in stockinette stitch) on US 13 (9 mm) needles

Cowl:
9 stitches and 24 rows = 4 inches in woven stitch pattern on US 15 (10.0 mm) needles

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

  • Hat: S(M,L) - small child(adult, large adult)
  • Hat: to fit head circumference: 19-20(21-23, 23-24") / 48-51(53-58, 58-61)cm
  • Cowl: S(M) - child(adult)
  • Cowl: circumference: 20(22)" / 51(56)cm
  • Cowl: height: 6.5(7)" / 16.5(18)cm

  • US 10 (6.0 mm) 16" (30 cm) circular needle
  • US 13 (9.0 mm) 16" (30 cm) circular needle
