Basic Skills Necessary:

  • Knit in the round

Pattern Description:

Knitted in the round, this simple cowl starts out on US7 needles then goes to US6 needles for a closer fit around the neck. Instructions are written. Pleats are created with basic decreases. Top part of cowl worked in K1, P3 ribbing.

Easily adjustable is the cowl needs to be made either smaller or larger. Simply increase or decrease by 12 stitches.

Gauge:

20 sts and 32 rows over 4"/10cm in St st using a US#7 needle.

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

  • 15" around at top; 5" tall

Materials:

  • 1 ball Petals Sock by Univeral Yarn Blossom Street Collection (50% Fine Merino Superwash, 20% Angora, 30% Nylon) 462yds/100g
  • 24" US#7/4.5mm circular needle
  • 16" US#6/4mm circular needle
