  • k2tog, ssk, yo, central double decrease, twisted stitches

Pattern Description:

Penstemon is a crescent shaped shawl worked from the bottom up, starting from the lace edge. It is shaped into a crescent shape using short rows. The bottom part of the shawl with its bell shaped lace led to the name Penstemon.

Chart and written instructions are provided for the lace stitch pattern.

Gauge:

17 stitches and 29 rows = 4 inches in stockinette stitch, after blocking

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

  • 16" x 47"

Materials:

  • US #4 6mm circular needles

  • Around 200 size 6 beads
  • 20 stitch markers
