Pattern Description:

I love penguins and I really love my new penguin beanie!
The pompon at the top fits just perfectly!
Note: You can leave out the pompon if you don(tm)t like it.
Both versions are shown in the pictures.

As the pattern has at most two colors in one row it is also suitable for stranded knitting beginners.

Gauge:

1 x 1 inch: 8 stitches and 9 rows in stranded knitting

about 35 g 4-ply sock yarn in black
about 30 g 4-ply sock yarn in off-white or white
about 15 g of 4-ply sock yarn in light green
about 25 g of 4-ply sock yarn in yellow
circular needles 3.00 mm (40 cm)
5 double pointed needles size 3.00 mm
tapestry needle to weave in the ends
