Pattern Description:

With Paula's Scarf and Fingerless Mitts, you will learn some very easy new stitches while creating a very useful set for cold weather. This was inspired by one of our class members who wanted to learn some new stitches while she was knitting something practical.
The fingerless mitts are an excellent introduction to knitting in the round on double pointed needles or if you prefer make them on 2 circulars or using the magic loop method.
Paula knit one of her scarves using many colors of the same weight yarn - a great stash buster!


4.5 sts = 1" in stockinette

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

  • Scarf - Approx. 7" wide x 82" long
  • Mitts - Small (Medium, Large) circumference 7.5 (8, 9)", length 9.5 (10, 10.5)"


  • Scarf - 475 yds worsted weight yarn
  • #8 needle or size needed to get gauge
  • Ring Markers
  • Cable Needle
  • Mitts - 110 (115, 125)yds worsted weight yarn
  • #8 double pointed needles (set of 5)
  • Ring markers
