This is a rather adventurous shawl with three lace sections and four wide rib sections making it more heart shaped than triangular. It has a raglan sleeve effect which makes it sit nicely over your shoulders.
The pattern is designed for and has been tested using 4-ply yarn, but there is no reason you couldn't knit it in a different yarn weight if you want a smaller or larger shawl. Testers completed the pattern between 15-25 hours and deemed it to be an intermediate pattern.
Gauge in stockinette is 16 stitches and 26 rows per 10cm / 4"
350 yards of Fingering weight
I'm a programmer, academic and teacher, who loves anything archaeology and history related. I'm fairly new to designing my own knit-wear, which has grown out of a love for un-patterns and recipes. I love working in the round and working two identical items in one go.
