Basic Skills Necessary:

  • ssk
  • yo
  • 1into7
  • Judy's magic cast on

Pattern Description:

This is a rather adventurous shawl with three lace sections and four wide rib sections making it more heart shaped than triangular. It has a raglan sleeve effect which makes it sit nicely over your shoulders.

The pattern is designed for and has been tested using 4-ply yarn, but there is no reason you couldn't knit it in a different yarn weight if you want a smaller or larger shawl. Testers completed the pattern between 15-25 hours and deemed it to be an intermediate pattern.


Gauge in stockinette is 16 stitches and 26 rows per 10cm / 4"

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

  • after blocking: 120 cm (47 inches) long x 33 cm (13 inches) wide


  • 4mm / US 6 circular needles

You Will Also Need:

  • tapestry needle for weaving in ends, blocking wire/pins, 6 stitch markers

Suggested yarn:

350 yards of Fingering weight
