Pattern Description:
I was inspired by the memory of my childhood days spent searching for peacock feathers at my parent's friend's house on the Maryland eastern shore.
This pattern includes instructions for making both the cowl and the mitts.
Gauge:
20 stitches = 4" (10 cm), 26 rows= 4" (10
cm) in stockinette stitch
Sizing / Finished Measurements:
- Sample Finished Size: Cowl: 21" (53 cm) circumference, 9" (22.5 cm) wide unstretched Mitts: fits up to 9" (22.5 cm) around palm
Materials:
- Yarn: worsted weight. Sample knit in: Knit Picks Swish [100% Superwash Merino; 220 yards/100g], MC: 1 skein Pearlescent Tonal, CC: 1 skein Kindling Tonal
- Needles: US Size 7-8 (4.5-5mm) straights, and dpns.

- Tapestry needle, waste yarn, stitch marker

Started seriously knitting back in college and have done it on and off over the years. Came back to it in full force in 2004, learned to knit socks in 2007, became a knitting teacher in 2007, and started designing in 2010.
