This slouchy hat is worked in garter stitch on the bias. It is ideal for self-striping or colorchanging yarns. You need to know how to knit, decrease, wrap stitches and how to pick up stitches from a garter edge. To join the cast-on and last row, the Kitchener stitch in garter pattern is used. The pattern contains instructions on how to work this. For extra warm ears, stitches are picked up from the lower edge and a second layer for the brim is worked which will hide on the inside.
