I love the idea of knitted lace but I don't think I am a very lacy person. This shawlette has a hint of geometric lace at the top with rows of eyelets that lead down to an arched edging. Olatz is a Basque name as it reminds me of the many beautiful buildings I visited on a trip to the Basque region some years ago.
Rather than the typical lace or fingering weight, Olatz is knitted up in a worsted weight to ward off chills.

Swallows Return is me, Marya. I'm a stay-at-home mom to two cute little guys. I try to stave off mommy-brain by knitting when I probably should be sleeping.
Before motherhood, I created computer graphics for a (alas, now-cancelled) sci-fi tv series.
