Basic Skills Necessary:

  • understand concept of "knitting with beads"

Pattern Description:

Using the traditional "ocean wave" stitch pattern, embellished with beads you pre-string, this choker is sure to get wonderful comments from all. The stitch pattern is both charted and written and includes where to place the prestrung beads.

This design is knit in all one piece so when you BO and tuck in ends, you are ready to wear this unique piece of jewelry!

You can substitute any heavy-fingering weight yarn with a smooth twist (for clear stitch definition).


8sts/10rws = 1" in stockinette

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

  • pattern portion of choker - 10" x 2.5"
  • i-cord ties (2) - 5"
  • overall length - 20" x 2.5"


  • approx 25 yards of fingering weight cashmere/silk/merino blend [sample made using Spring Gate Farm's cashmere(50%)/silk(25%)/merino(25%) blend]
