Occam's Beanie: "The simplest hat is often the best"

This hat is supremely simple, yet wonderfully satisfying and stylish. Use any nice worsted weight yarn with a touch of drape- the Madelinetosh Vintage is a treat and silk/wool blends work fabulously as well. A great unisex hat that will fit most ages- work at a slightly smaller gauge for small children, or slightly larger for huge heads.

Gauge:

22 st and 31 rows in 4 inches in stockinette

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

  • ~21-23" around, quite stretchy

Materials:

  • Madelinetosh Vintage (1 skein, 200 yards, color "Manor")
  • US size 7 16" circular needles
  • US size 7 dpns or whatever you like to use for small circumferences

You Will Also Need:

  • stitch marker
  • darning needle
