Basic Skills Necessary:

  • You will need to be able to work a classic cable and double moss st pattern.

Pattern Description:

A classic cable and moss st tubular scarf.

Amount of yarn:
5 x 50g balls of Alpaca Loft's Baby Alpaca yarn.
1 50g ball = 113m/124yds.

Pattern for Oak Vest is also available and includes the pattern for the scarf.

Gauge:

26 sts x 27 rows to 10 x 10cm (4 x 4in) worked in cable and moss st pattern using 33/4mm (US 5) needles.

equivalent in st st 22 sts x 27 rows using 33/4mm (US 5) needles.

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

  • One size - Width: 21cm (8in); Length/Circumference: 164cm (64in)

Materials:

  • Approx 620 yards (567 m) of 100% Baby Alpaca double knit 8 ply (11 wpi) yarn

You Will Also Need:

  • one pairof 3.75mm (US5) straight needles
  • a 2.75mm (US2) circular needle
  • a cable needle
  • a tapestry needle for sewing up.
