This pattern was designed as a birthday present for my sister, who also gave it it's name :)
It's a fairly quick and easy knit, with the main body in garter stitch in two alternating colours, framed by eyelet stitches and finished with a slightly ruffled edge, also in garter stitch.
I used just over two balls a 25g of Shetland yarn, but it would be easy to make the shawl bigger or smaller, or adjust depth and width by changing the number of increase stitches each row.
This pattern is available for $0.99 until the 10th of May.
7 stitches and 12 rows = 1 inch
Living in lovely Brighton, U.K., I am a QA engineer/Games tester by day and a vintage obsessed knitter at night.
My favorite era are probably the 1920ties, but victorian and edwardian fashion never ceases to inspire me - no wonder that I have a definite soft spot for all things steampunk.
