Poor Mrs Bennet, she has 5 girls a seemingly complacent husband, she could loose her home to her husband's relatives at anytime, and as a woman had no way to better her position respectably. Is there any reason why she wouldn't fret so?
Her nerves sending her to bed so often, would need soothing by pretty things. This lace beret is just such an item.
