Pattern Description:

This was the first hat I designed. I wanted something very simple to ease me into the design process. It turned out to be really pretty as a beanie (when the brim is folded over) or with a slight slouch.


10sts / 16 rows = 4 inches (moss st)

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

  • One Size
  • Fits Adult size 20 - 25 inch head


  • 1 skein King Cole Magnum Lightweight Chunky in Charcoal 187
  • 1 Size 10mm circular needle
  • 1 Size 8mm DPN's

You Will Also Need:

  • 1 stitch marker

Suggested yarn:

220 yards of Chunky weight

Preferred Brand/Yarn:

King Cole Magnum Lightweight Chunky
