Pattern Description:

Okay, here's the part where I'm supposed to sell you on my design. I think the photos do that best, don't you?!


Newborn = 9 sts per inch with Baby Ull
Infant/toddler = 8 sts per inch with Baby Ull
Youth = 7 sts per inch with Falk
Teen / Adult = 6 sts per inch with Falk

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

  • Newborn = 13 1/4" / 33.9cm
  • Infant = 15" / 38.1cm
  • Youth 17 1/8" / 43.5cm
  • Adult 20" / 50.8cm


  • Five different 50g balls of Dale of Norway Baby Ull yarn for either the newborn or infant hat; Five different 50g balls of Dale of Norway Falk yarn for either the youth or teen/adult sized hat.
  • pink baby version Baby Ull colors: 3871, 7502, 4711, 2203, 5914
  • blue baby version Baby Ull colors: 3871, 8434, 5701, 2005, 6435
  • adult beige version Falk colors: 2671, 3418, 2931, 4137, 6215
  • all Dale of Norway yarn colors available through the designer

You Will Also Need:

  • Two needle sizes for each hat; inside hem is always worked on needles one size smaller than main / outside portion of hat. Use whatever size needle you need to obtain your targeted gauge!
  • Newborn: 2.0mm hem + 2.25mm main
  • Infant 2.25mm hem + 2.50mm main
  • Youth 3.0mm hem + 3.25mm main
  • Adult 3.25mm hem + 3.50mm main

Dale of Norway Baby Ull yarn for newborn & infant hats; Dale of Norway Falk for youth and adult hats
