Pattern Description:

A scarf or neckwarmer in two sizes (S/L) to match the Eliza mitts with the same pleated hem flounce and pretty snowdrop lace. The neckwarmer features a button side closure. Scarf is worked in two pieces and grafted at center back. An excellent first lace project that experienced knitters will enjoy as well for its suitability as a quick knit gift project. Substituting yarn and/or needles may result in an overall variation in size.

Gauge:

30 sts and 44 rows = 4 inches in stockinette stitch on smaller needles (unblocked)

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

  • neckwarmer: 17(20) inches in circumference, buttoned (washed and blocked)
  • scarf: 7(8.5) inches wide and 45(54) inches long

Materials:

  • neckwarmer: 125(150)yards of any soft, plump sock yarn
  • scarf: 300(400) yards of any soft, plump sock yarn
  • size 2US (2.75 mm) needle or size to obtain correct gauge
  • size 3US (3.25 mm) for hem (or two mm sizes bigger than body needle)

You Will Also Need:

  • 5 buttons that are .375 inch in diameter for neckwarmer

Suggested yarn:

550 yards of Fingering weight
