I love to knit - and crochet - and have designed knitting patterns for more than 40 years now...... As my partner is disabled I had to leave work and become a full time stay at home carer - this left me extra time to work on my knitting and crochet designs and for the last few years I have been introducing new patterns on a regular basis.
My first published book - 100 Tea Cosy Designs - is now available to buy from my craftsy store as a pdf. download and features a great range of tea cosies, phone covers, mug hugs, egg cosies etc. Everything from a Frozen theme Christmas Tree to my first ever cosy design, Ellie the Elephant.... all with simple row by row instructions -which is a feature of all my knitting and crochet patterns as I like to make them suitable even for those who have little or no experience.
As ive said I am a full time carer to my OH, a mum to 4 grown up children and Nanna to a rather large brood (see my profile photo lol) so no shortage of those to try out my patterns on.
Hope you will enjoy wandering through the designs in my store.
Request from my grandson for a hat like his favourite toy led to me making up this pattern and varying it for his little baby brother - then had to make the adult version so now the pattern is available with instructions for sizes from Newborn to Adult with 2 styles - simple turn back brim or with ear flaps (great for the cold weather to come) - there is also details on how to turn into a beanie style hat or to make it longer or shorter as required.
Very easy pattern to follow with mostly row by row instructions set out. Uses double knitting yarn - i used royal blue and buttercup yellow as the 2 main colours - with very small amounts of black, white and silver grey.
