Pattern Description:

Inspired by the Dwarven mines from The Lord of the Rings, this quick knit features contrasting lattice cables that form a starburst design at the crown. The combination of colorwork and cables creates a texture that works together to make this striking hat. Fun to knit and wear, the Mines of Moria is perfect for men or women.

Full color pictures and chart will guide you though each step. The techniques in the pattern include colorwork cables, twisted ribbing, and colorwork motifs.

Different sizes can be achieved using different needle sizes, and differing weights of yarn.

Gauge:

24 stitches and 28 rows = 4 inches in colorwork
