Pattern Description:

It's time for a pair of fabulous fingerless gloves, don't you think? These mitts are meant to be worked with a soft and luxurious yarn, cashmere anyone? Mica Mitts are worked in a twisted rib stitch with a beaded feather and fan center panel and a decorative thumb gusset.

Video tutorials are included for working with beads as well!


32 sts x 44 rnds= 4 inches in st st, unblocked

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

  • Ladies: Smaller (Bigger) To Fit: 7.5 (8.25) inch hand circumference


  • 145 (200) yards of fingering weight yarn Yarn Used: Shalimar, Homage; (80% merino, 10% cashmere, 10% silk; 400 yd [366 m]/ 100 g): Columbine

You Will Also Need:

  • One set US Size 1.5 [2.5 mm] double pointed needles
  • 2 stitch markers
  • 120 (132) Size 6 glass seed beads [approx. 12 grams]
  • 1mm crochet hook or Super Floss (see notes for video on bead placement techniques)
  • Tapestry Needle
