Type:

Accessory

Fit:

Women, Men

Item:

Neckwear

Skill Level:

little skill level requirement Novice

Basic Skills Necessary:

  • knit
  • purl
  • backwards loop cast on
  • bind off

Pattern Description:

Sometimes a flat rectangle just isn’t going to cut it.

This unique piece can be looped around your neck as many times as you like. Worked in the round the long way, using a larger needle than the yarn calls for to get a slightly loose, drapey quality. I’d recommend using baby alpaca, a silk blend, or soft merino wool.

Gauge:

11 sts = 4 inches in stockinette stitch. Not critical though, will just affect finished size.

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

  • Loooong loop as written, can easily be shortened by removing repeats

Materials:

  • 330-350 yards chunky yarn
  • size 13 US circular needles, at least 32"

You Will Also Need:

  • tapestry needle
