Pattern Description:
Button this shawl into a shrug or wear it flat. The cuffs are knitted in the beginning and end of the piece, then sleek edges are added to the lengthwise edges of the shawl. The medallions of lace are done in varying multiples and as a central motif. None of this is difficult knitting, but we always like to make it interesting!
Gauge:
5.625 sts/in and 7.5 rows/in = 17 sts/4" and 30 rows/4" in Medallion Lace
4.25 sts/in and 7 rows/in = 17 sts/4" and 28 rows/4" in Stockinette
Sizing / Finished Measurements:
- One size
- Finished length 60"
- Finished depth 22.5"

- Size 6(4mm) ndls OR size to obtain gauge and size 2(2.75mm) ndl
- Rimu Sport from Zealana, 60% fine merino, 40% possum, 50g/168 yds (152m)

Your reward will be the skill that you take forward in your knitting. My love is knitting, not sewing, so I design so that as much as possible is done on the knitting needles with sewing only as absolutely necessary. This isn't necessarily a shortcut, but I think it works really well for those who don't love the finishing process.
