Basic Skills Necessary:

Pattern Description:

This cozy and elegant cabled hat will convince your non-knitting friends they should give it a try. Ear flaps are knit first, and then knit into the round during cast on for the hat. Basketweave cable panels are on the front and back and crossover panels are on each ear flap.

Gauge:

20 sts and 27 rows per 4 inches in stockinette

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

  • Size: Preemie(Baby, Toddler, Child, Adult Small, Adult Medium, Adult Large); Finished Circumference: 11.5(13.75, 15.5, 17, 18.75, 20.25, 22) inches; To Fit: 13(15, 17, 18.5, 20, 22, 24) inches

Materials:

  • 95(110, 125, 140, 155, 175, 200) yards worsted weight yarn

You Will Also Need:

  • Size 7(4.5 mm) 16" circular needles, size 6 (4 mm) set of 5 DPNs, stitch marker, cable needle
