Pattern Description:

After searching for the perfect market bag to take with me to my local farmer's market, and not finding what I was looking for, I came up with this design.

The bag can be slung over one shoulder or worn across your body to hold all of your market goodies. The pattern indicates where you can make adjustments to make it the exact size you need (i.e. shorter strap, deeper bag).

Using the recommended yarn makes this bag machine washable and dryable.

Gauge:

Gauge is not critical in this pattern, change needles or yarn to adjust gauge as desired.

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

17" wide and 14" high, not stretched, not including strap; strap 30" long
As indicated in pattern, final measurements can be adjusted

Materials:

US 17 (12mm) and US 13 (9mm) circular needles, and US 11 straight (8mm) needles
Crochet hook, exact size doesn't matter
2 skeins 100% Cotton Worsted Weight yarn (machine washable preferred); MC and CC

You Will Also Need:

Waste yarn for Provisional Cast-on
Stitch marker and stitch holder
Large-eye needle
Button(s) for clasp (optional)
