Marissa is a beautiful and delicate shawl. It looks very complex, but is not that difficult to work, as the stitch counts of the lace repeats stay consistent.
Lace is worked on both sides, and uses the following skills:
picot bind off
kfb: knit into the front and the back of the stitch
k2tog: knit 2 together
p2tog: purl 2 together
p3tog: purl 3 together
ssk: slip, slip, knit
ssp: slip, slip, purl
sl2-k1-psso: slip 2 sts, k next st, pass 2 slipped sts separately over knit st
sl1-k2tog-psso: slip 1 st, k2tog, pass slipped st over
yo: yarn over
7 sts and 7 rows in stockinette unblocked
500 yards of Lace weight
