Pattern Description:

When we had the Winter Olympics here in 2010 I was inspired to create a simple maple leaf motif. Here it is in this Beanie. I feel this little hat should be knit in worsted weight wool such as Cascade 220, or Paton's Classic to look it's best.

Gauge:

24 sts = 4 inches

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

  • 20 inch head circumference

Materials:

  • Cascade 220 worsted, in three colors
  • Set of four double pointed needles, size 4-4.5 mm

You Will Also Need:

  • Tapestry needle to embroider on the leaf stems in duplicate stitch
