Shawl

Skill Level:

small skill level requirement Beginner

Basic Skills Necessary:

  • Basic knitting skills, including basic lace knitting

Pattern Description:

A wide crescent shaped shawlette that is worked up in coordinating colors of Miss Babs Yummy Toes sportweight. This would look lovely in a solid color or a self-striping yarn such as Noro sock. This shawlette must be blocked in order to achieve the crescent shape and to open up the lace.

This shawlette is also perfect for all those odds and ends of sockweight or sport-weight yarns you have lying around. The sample shawl used the 82-yard mini skeins: 2 of Oregon Cellar, 1 of Ruby Spinel, and 1 of Bruin.

Due to the simplicity of the lace pattern, this pattern is available in written form only.

20 stitches and 30 rows = 4 inches in blocked stockinette stitch

I've always been crafty, but crafting didn't become a full-fledged obsession until I learned to knit about 7 years ago. Knitting led to designing led to dreaming up ideas and waking up in the middle of the night to find a handy dandy notebook!
