Pattern Description:

M is for... mitts with strong, clean lines in a super-springy slipped rib that the men (and women!) on your gift list will love to wear.

M is for... M1 simple shaping that makes a good project to learn increasing in pattern.

and M is for... mellifluous Blue Sky Alpacas Alpaca Silk, and for modifying the pattern with a girly, "un-vented" conch-shaped bind off.

26 sts/33 rows = 4"/10 cm in St st on smaller needles; check your gauge before you begin.


  • Blue Sky Alpacas Alpaca Silk (50% alpaca, 50% silk; 146 yds/133 m per 1.76 oz/50 g skein); color: 128 Plum or 100 Slate; 1[2] skeins
  • 1 set US 3 (3.25 mm) double-pointed needles; or size required to obtain gauge
  • 1 set US 4 (3.5 mm) double-pointed needles

You Will Also Need:

  • Waste yarn or stitch holder
  • Stitch markers
