Pattern Description:

An easy, dramatic, stash-eating shawl. Garter stitch with short rows molds this shawl to fit the wearer beautifully. Designed to be worked in two halves for perfect match and to eliminate the risk of running short of yarn. It is designed to extract the maximum impact from small amounts of fantasy yarns. Suits many yarn weights, minimal finishing.

Gauge:

approximately 12 sts x 24 rows = 4" sq measured over garter stitch (every row knit) in mohair yarn:

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

  • variable, from neck warmer to glamorous shawl!

Materials:

  • 175 grams brushed Mohair
  • 150 grams contrast colour yarn
  • Either long straight 6mm needles or an 80cm/32" circular or both.

You Will Also Need:

  • A second circular needle is helpful for holding the stitches of the first side of the shawl.
  • crochet hook

Suggested yarn:

200 yards of Sport weight
