Pattern Description:

Just in time for autumn: knit this bright little pumpkin beanie ofi its special kind and make the wearer and everyone seeing it smile.

I love the happy orange and red colors!
The pumpkin is surrounded by a nice little peerie pattern.

The multicolor corrugated ribbing is also bright and beaming :-)

Notes: for bigger sizes are included (bigger needle size or/and yarn, some additional rows at some places)

The beanie is knit completely of 4-ply sock yarn.

Knitting gauge in stranded pattern: 1 x 1 inch: 7 stitches and 8 rows (2 x 2 cm: 6 stitches and 7

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

  • This beanie will fit a head circumreference of about 52 " 55 cm (depending on your gauge and needle size).


  • circular needle 3.00 mm (40 cm)
  • or circular needle 3.5 mm (40 cm)
  • about 20 g of black 4-ply sock yarn
  • 25g of dark orange 4-ply sock yarn
  • 10 g of off-white 4-ply sock yarn
  • 15 g of light orange 4-ply sock yarn
  • about 7 g of yellow 4-ply sock yarn
  • 20 g of red 4-ply sock yarn
  • about 10 g of grass green 4-ply sock yarn
  • 5 double pointed needles 3.00 mm for the top of the hat

You Will Also Need:

  • tapestry needle to weave in the ends

Suggested yarn:

230 yards of Fingering weight

Preferred Brand/Yarn:

Opal uni solid 4-ply sock yarn, Buttinette sckli 4-ply sock yarn, Lana Grossa Merino sock yarn
