Do you enjoy roaming the savannah and taking long naps? Perhaps you are actually a lion.
The lion hat pattern is a mixture of knit and crochet. The hat is knit while the ears are crochet. The crochet portion is in chart form along with written instructions. The loop stitches is explained in the instructions.
Knitting: 24sts/ 36rows (16 sts/ 24 rows) = 4x4in/ 10x10 cm in stockinette stitch with size 3/ 3.25mm (8/ 5.0mm) needles. Crochet: 32sts/ 32rows (20sts/ 20rows) = 4x4 in/ 10x10cm in single crochet with size B/ 2.25mm (G/ 4.0mm) hook. Exact gauge is not crucial as long as the stitches are tight.
I taught myself to knit in 2005, crochet in 2006 and spin in 2010. It seems I have a habit of developing hobbies.
Fiber truly is a passion. I've worked at a wool mill, done knitting for a farmers market and currently work at a yarn shop. And like everyone else, I'm working on a book. But I figure anyone can start a book, the only thing that matters is that I finish mine.
