Basic Skills Necessary:

  • lace stitches
  • cable stitches

Pattern Description:

You can use any type of yarn in any weight to make this scarf.
You should change to the recommended needles on the yarn
selected. This will give the correct gauge for the yarn you have
chosen. It may alter the width and length.

This scarf is created by sewing the cast on edges together so
that the leaves are facing the front on either side. If desired a
provisional cast on may be completed to avoid sewing up the
seam.

Materials –
• 1 ball of Silk and Wool Blend by Moda Dea
• Size 8 (5.0 mm) Straight Knitting Needles
• Cable Hook

Abbreviations –
K – knit
P – Purl
C2 over 2 left -sl 2 to CN, hold in front. k2, k2 from CN
C2 over 2 right -sl2 to CN, hold in back. k2, k2 from CN
Left twist, purl pb - sl1 to CN, hold in front. p1. k1 from CN
Right twist, purl pb -sl1 to CN, hold in back. k1, p1 from CN
SSK – knit two stitches together through back loops (decrease stitch)
SSSK – knit three stitches together through back loops (decrease 2 stitches)
K2tog – knit two stitches together through front loops (decrease stitch)
K3tog – knit three stitches together through front loops (decrease 2 stitches)
P2tog – purl two stitches together (decrease stitch)
P5tog – purl five stitches together (decrease 4 stitches)
P3togb - Purl three stitches together as one, inserting needle from the left and
behind
sl1 k psso - slip 1, knit 1, pass slipped stitch over knit 1
YO – yarn over knitting needle to increase stitch
KFB – knit one stitch in the front and then without completing the stitch
through the back (increase stitch)
PFB – purl one stitch in the front and then without completing the stitch knit
through the back (increase stitch)
