Basic Skills Necessary:

  • knit, purl, decrease, increase, short rows

Pattern Description:

This cowl has a V-shaped front, creating a kerchief-style drape to it. Body and edgings are knit in one piece with a subtle knit-purl diamond pattern in the body and lace edging that can be done in a contrasting color along the edges.

Gauge:

24 sts and 38 1/2 rows = 4" / 10 cm in Diamond Pattern

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

  • 8 1/2″ (21.5 cm) wide and 55″ (140 cm) long before sewing

Materials:

  • US size 5 / 3.75 mm straight needles

You Will Also Need:

  • Locking stitch markers in 2 colors (A and B), tapestry needle
