Basic Skills Necessary:

  • do stranded knitting with at most two colors in one round
  • knit and purl
  • weave in the tails during knitting (makes it easier than afterwards)

Pattern Description:

These cute ladybug allover fingerless mitts can be knitted from 4-ply sock yarn.

They fit small and medium sized hands.

Enjoy and happy knitting!


Knitting gauge: 8 stitches and 9 rows in an inch.

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

  • Measurement: width 10 cm (about 20 cms hand circumreference)
  • for bigger sizes go up one or two needle sizes or use 5-ply yarn or both


  • 35 g of black 4-ply sock yarn
  • 40 g of grass green 4-ply sock yarn
  • 30 g of red 4-ply sock yarn
  • 5 double pointed needles size 3.0 mm.
  • 1 circular needle of 3.0 mms for parking the thumb stitches.

You Will Also Need:

  • tapestry needle to weave in the ends

Suggested yarn:

230 yards of Fingering weight
