Basic Skills Necessary:

  • knit
  • purl
  • yo
  • k2tog
  • sl1, K2tog, passo
  • ssk
  • K1-b: knit into back of stitch.

Pattern Description:

I wanted something pretty and lacy to frame the face.

This Cowl is knit on straight needles then sewn
to create a tube. It can be worn around the head
using either edge to frame the face. DK weight
yarn is used with a larger size needle for a looser


18 sts/ 4 inches in stockinette stitch.


  • DK weight recommended.
  • Sample shown uses Zealana-eco, Double Knit 8 ply, 80% merino, 20% alpaca, 140 yds/ 50 gr 2 balls of Storm Grey
  • Straight needles in size US6 - 9 depending on gauge.
