All are the same but each is different! The sky is the limit while decorating your hat, let your creativity bloom!

This perfectly fitting beanie style hat is written for 7 sizes, from newborn to adult. It includes a photo tutorial on how to make and attach flowers and the coolest thing is - no purling necessary! The hat is worked inside out! No friend with sewing or finishing? The pattern include all the necessary details with pictures!

Kveta is a Czech girl's name (=bloom, flowers).

This is the perfect project for all your beautiful scraps, waiting to star!

Sizing is based on head circumference:
NB - newborn (14" / 36cm)
XXS - infant, 3m (15-16" / 38-40.5cm)
XS - baby, 6m (16-17" / 40.5-43cm)
S - toddler, 12m (17-18" / 43-46cm)
M - child (18-20" / 46-51cm)
L - teen (20-21" / 51-53cm)
XL - adult (21-22" / 53-56cm)

This pattern is suitable for any DK weight merino yarns, perfect for scraps.

80(100, 120, 130) {140, 150, 170} yds
70(90, 110, 120) {130, 140, 160} m

You will need additional 110yds/100m (not included in yardage) if flowers will be made all over the hat as shown.

Pattern includes:

photo tutorial on how to make and attach i-cord flowers;
alternative flower embellishment - 2x crochet, 1x knit, 1x embroidery;
7 sizes, from newborn to adult;
standard or fold-over brim;


21 stitches and 28 rows = 4 inches in stockinette st on bigger needles

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

  • NB - XL; 14-22" / 36-56cm


  • US 2 - 2.75 mm DPN's or circular needles
  • US 3 - 3.25 mm DPN's or circular needles
  • US 6 - 4.0 mm DPN's or circular needles

You Will Also Need:

  • 1 stitch marker
  • 4 locking stitch markers (optional)
  • US 2.5/3mm crochet hook (if applicable)
  • tapestry needle
