This popular pattern provides instructions to make a stylish slouch beanie hat in four sizes - from a child to a large adult. It has been designed using Debbie Bliss Donegal Tweed Aran, which achieved a nice soft slouchy feel, although you could use any other aran weight yarn. The hat is knitted straight on 5mm single point needles and there will be a seam to sew up.
18sts and 24 rows to 10cm (4") square over pattern using 5mm needles

My name is Tracy and I am a freelance knit/crochet designer living and working in the scenic Peak District area in the UK. I have knitted almost as long as I have walked, having been taught at a very young age by my aunt. I quickly caught the knitting bug and have almost always had at least one project on the go ever since!! I find knitting incredibly therapeutic and get totally immersed in the design process.
I have been selling my pattern designs for the past 4 years - a process now made much easier since the revolution of the .pdf file! My patterns have been sold all over the world and I love it when knitters share their finished projects with me. My favourite designs are those that inspire new knitters to pick up the needles and start a project ... so many of my designs are based on simple stitch patterns that do not take too much concentration to knit and using heavier weight yarns so that projects can be completed quickly.
