Well, I can't find where to send you a question so I thought I'd post it here! =D This is a very cute set but I am wondering about the hat size. 18 inches is rather small. I would need closer to 23 inches. Can this hat be easily sized up? Can the brim be knit a little wider if desired? Thanks for any info!

Hi, you are more than welcome to post here, but you'll also find my Email address on the top of the pattern. The completed hat size is about 18 inches when you work according to the gauge, but it stretches to fit the head for a comfortable fit without the hat blowing off. Generally most older kids' and ladies' head circumference is about 20-21" and knit/crochet hats are often knit about 2 inches or so smaller to account for the fit. If the head circumference of the planned recipient is 20-21 inches, the hat should work well. Especially if she'll be going into the water with it because the water will make the cotton stretch. If the head is larger, you can add stitches to account for that, but I suggest you make the circumference about 1 -1/2 to 2 inches smaller for the right fit. As for the brim, no problem! Repeat the increase rows as often as you want, to allow for a wider brim. If you have any other questions, do please let me know, either here or at my email address listed at the top of the pattern. I'm here to help!! And thank you again for purchasing my design!
