(6) Name: 'Knitting : Kimmie

Pattern Description:

My dear friend Kim wanted a hat that showed off Zing String, a wonderful carry-along bead yarn from Mango Moon yarns. I liked the idea (only I thought that if it were mine, I would go for sparkle and use Lazer FX from Berroco).

I warned her that if we did the hat in stockinette, the beads or sequins would go to the inside. "What if we did reverse stockinette, with lines of stockinette stitches going up?" she said, as she sketched her idea.

I told her that would work.

"You design it, and name it after me," she said.

Okay then. Here it is, Kimmie dear!

5 stitches per inch.
