Men can be notoriously picky about their hand knit socks - they love 'em, but nothing too fancy. Keyll Socks are perfect for men, or anyone who prefers hand knit socks in a subdued style.
Designed as 'boot' socks, Keyll Socks are knit cuff down, featuring a very cushy rib pattern for the cuff & heel flap, while the leg is worked in a simple, textured design. With a short pattern repeat (both # of sts & rows), they are easily adjusted to fit almost any leg & foot.
The textured stitch pattern is very easy to work & memorize, and is both charted and written. Decreases for the gusset are worked along the bottom of the foot for better fit around the ankle/instep.
If you prefer to use two circular needles or the magic loop method, this pattern is easily converted.
You'll be pleasantly surprised at how quickly these socks knit up - and may find yourself knitting several pairs!
26 sts and 34 rows = 4 inches in Textured pattern

When not knitting, thinking about knitting or dreaming up new designs, I love spending time with my husband and pets, in the high plains of Colorado where we live.
