Basic Skills Necessary:

  • knit, purl, yarn over, ssk, k2tog, sk2p

Pattern Description:

This cute little shawlette is worked in two distinctive colors and is started from the neck down in one color, increased and worked in Garter stitch until it is the appropriate length, then a beautiful lace border is added in another color. Later on a gorgeous lace edging finishes the shawl.


20 sts and 20 ridges = 4" (10 cm) in Garter stitch with size 6 needles

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

  • Wingspan: 42" (107 cm)
  • Depth: 13" (33 cm)


  • 230 yd (210 m) of fine (sport) weight yarn, 100% wool, each in Off-white (A) and Lavender (B)
  • 29" (74 cm) circular knitting needle size 6 (4 mm)

Suggested yarn:

460 yards of Sport weight
