My mother in law gifted me a precious memory, a pair of long gloves that she wore on her wedding day, 69 years ago. I wanted to honor her by designing a pair of fingerless gloves that were reminiscent of her gift, romantic in feel yet at the same time practical.
The bold horizontal rib pattern gives way to a graceful vertical rib, ending with a lacy feminine picot bind off. Experience with knitting in the round necessary.
Included in the pattern are photos, a complete list of abbreviations, and a stitch glossary.

My design philosophy: My designs are a mixture of traditional and non-traditional elements. My patterns are easy to read and are often based on simple shapes and techniques that minimize complicated finishing. The majority of my patterns are accessories so sizing is often not critical. My love of texture and color shows up in my ability to mix yarns and to match yarns to particular styles.View all patterns by designer (34) »
