Pattern Description:

This sweet hat combines two of my favorite thingshearts and ornate iron scrollwork. As I am a knitter, not a smith, I have used my needles to forge yarn into a hat.

Interesting knitting begins right away with a two-color cabled cast-on and corrugated ribbing. Following a plain round of knitting, the Norwegian-inspired hearts are wrought to life with stranded colorwork.
