Basic Skills Necessary:

  • some experience with stranded knitting with two colors

Pattern Description:

I love dogs. Did some charts but haven't knit any up to now.
Now I proudly present the Husky beanie.

It has a paw peerie and dog prints in the main pattern.

It is a present for a doglover work collegue.
I will give it to her next week.
I hope she likes it.

And whether you believe it or not there are at most two colors in one row!

Note: for bigger sizes use bigger needle size.


Knitting gauge: 1 x 1 inch: 8 stitches and 9 rows in stranded knitting


  • about 15 g of off-white 4-ply sock yarn
  • about 15 g of black 4-ply sock yarn
  • about 15 g of middle blue 4-ply sock yarn
  • about 10 g of grey 4-ply sock yarn
  • about 15 g of dark blue sock yarn
  • for bigger sizes use needle size 3.5 mm or 5-ply yarn

You Will Also Need:

  • circular needle size 3.00 mm (40 cm)
  • 5 double pointed needles 3.00 mm
  • tapestry needle to weave in the ends

Suggested yarn:

230 yards of Fingering weight

Preferred Brand/Yarn:

Opal uni solid 4-ply sock yarn, Buttinette sckli 4-ply sock yarn


off-white, black, middle blue, grey, dark blue
