Basic Skills Necessary:

  • some experiences with two-color knitting

Pattern Description:

I love the grace and beauty of horses.
And it is the ideal beanie for all horse lovers!
It will also look great in other colours (red and white, black and white).
I decided to use two moderate real horse colours.
And it(tm)s my new favorite.

There are running horses at the brim and seven prancing horses at the top.

The knitting instruction with all charts is available in English.

1 x 1 inch: 8 stitches and 9 rows in stranded knitting

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

  • beanie will fit about 54 - 56 cm head circumreference


  • about 50 g of beige 4-ply sock yarn
  • about 50 g of brown 4-ply sock yarn
  • circular needles 3.00 mm (40 cm)
  • 5 double pointed needles size 3.00 mm
  • tapestry needle to weave in the ends

Suggested yarn:

230 yards of Fingering weight
