Pattern Description:

When I'm purse-watching (something I do often, because I'm a bit bag-obsessed), I seem to be attracted to purses that open in the front rather than the top because of the way they fall nicely on the body, so I designed this bag to do the same. The Half Linen Stitch makes a nice solid fabric that doesn't require a lining.

34-sts/4 in. in half linen stitch

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

  • After assembly: 10" wide and 7" tall.
  • Size is easily adjusted.

  • 1 skein Pagewood Farm Merino Sock Yarn, 5.5 oz, 450 yards
  • 1 pair size 4/3.5mm knitting needles, or size needed to obtain gauge

You Will Also Need:

  • 1 9-inch zipper
  • Strong sewing thread to match your yarn
  • Yarn needle
  • Sewing needle
  • Straight pins or safety pins
